I was once homeless, so this hits home.

Not on the street every night but couch surfing, sleeping in my car, eventually ending up in my sister’s garage for over 18 months while I to rebuilt my life.

I know the mental and emotional toll that comes with not having a place to call home. It strips away your sense of worth, safety, and stability. But I also know what’s possible when someone gives you a chance to stand back up.

That’s why this year, I’m stepping into the cold and sleeping rough for one night. Not because I have to but because too many still do.

This is part of the CEO Sleepout, and while it’s hosted by Vinnies, for me it’s about something deeper. It’s about leading with heart. It’s about showing up for those doing it tough. And it’s about making sure others have a shot at building the life they deserve.

Not for me but for the thousands of Australians who still don’t have a safe place to sleep tonight. A $100 donation can help provide shelter, meals, and a hand up when someone needs it most.
